Junior Product Manager
Position Description:
PitchBook Data is looking for a Junior Product Manager (UI/UX Designer) to join its product team. In this role you will work closely with our product managers and be responsible for designing new product features and writing product requirements/functional specifications for our core product platform.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed mockups, wireframes, flowcharts and other deliverables to effectively communicate designs and product requirements.

Marketing Manager
Scope and Purpose:
PitchBook is seeking a passionate marketing professional. In this hands-on role, you will lead, manage and own all marketing and public relations-related initiatives to drive the growth of the company's software as a service customer base from a 3-digit and 4-digit number figure. This key role will require you to work across many departments in order to develop and lead various marketing initiatives.

The right candidate must be able to quickly understand the market for a technical financial research database product, have excellent communication skills, a results-driven attitude, the ability to think on his/her feet, and an entrepreneurial spirit in this pivotal market-facing role. The successful candidate will also develop and maintain knowledge of key verticals to leverage for marketing purposes including investment banks, law firms and private equity firms.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Drive leads, increase revenue and further establish awareness of PitchBook as the market leader for research and technology in Private Equity. To develop, lead, own and manage PitchBook's marketing plan and brand development, driving significant marketing ROI. In collaboration with multiple departments and team members, the Marketing Manager will develop strategy, implementation/execution plans and lead initiatives related to the acquisition and retention of PitchBook clients. The Marketing Manager is also tasked with enhancing the overall strength and positioning of PitchBook and its product brands.

Marketing efforts will be focused on creating and executing a complete marketing strategy from the ground up that will include best of breed marketing/sales online & offline campaigns, press outreach/media relations programs, production of marketing/sales collateral and case studies, a social media presence, website experience/messaging, website positioning on search engines (SEO), conference & tradeshow materials, website conversion tools, and strategic partnership development.

This position will also oversee the company's CRM/marketing automation solution (Salesforce.com & Marketo).

The Marketing Manager will report to the CEO or another member of PitchBook senior leadership team, but will be working with every department and many individuals in our very collaborative environment. This critical position will be customer focused, serving as a liaison between sales, marketing, product design, research and technology.

The ideal candidate will bring a successful background in product marketing, brand development, plan development and execution, possess very strong marketing writing skills (very), fanatic attention to detail and have a hands-on, proactive style with an entrepreneurial passion and dedication for delivering support and solutions to meet a young and fast growing company's business objectives.

Tasks:
Marketing Strategy, Planning, Execution, Analytics, and Materials
  • Develop and track targeted outbound campaigns to drive leads.
  • Own the nurturing process of drip campaigns to motivate stalled leads.
  • Develop and execute marketing plans for the acquisition and retention of PitchBook clients.
  • Develop and execute branding plans to increase our presence on social media and national/industry newspapers.
  • Quickly respond to our sales force needs with the production of ad hoc collateral.
  • Oversee strategic initiatives, execution and day-to-day operations of all marketing initiatives.
  • Create and produce targeted digital and printed marketing materials.
  • Create business cases for new marketing vehicles.
  • Track and report on leads from all sources; develop analytics platform.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional marketing experience in a manager or director position.
  • Expertise in marketing strategy and analytics.
  • Experience with acquisition-based marketing programs.
  • Exceptional communications skills - especially written; ability to present at board room level.
  • Well-developed project management skills.
  • Proven ability to identify new prospects, conduct thorough needs analysis/discovery, identify compelling events and close on new opportunities.
  • Strategic and creative thinking on a broad and individual account basis.
  • Detail use of CRM system to manage prospects and pipeline (i.e. Salesforce.com).

Research Associate
Position Description:
PitchBook is seeking intelligent and positive team players to join our research department. The ideal candidate must be interested in the private capital / financial markets, innovative, motivated, have strong verbal and written communication skills and able to learn quickly. Candidates must care about producing high-quality work and have FANATICAL attention to details. This position offers the opportunity to learn and grow within a positive work environment.

The Research Associate will:
  • Research events in the private equity industry including details on the deals, acquired companies and investment firms.
  • Gather information through web research and manage the information in our research database.
  • Have direct contact with company executives and investment professionals to cross-validate and gather information on financing events.
  • Work on a team, but independently in a goal-oriented environment.
  • Gain exposure on multiple aspects of our research process and various projects.
  • Learn about the private capital markets including private equity, venture capital and general M&A.
  • Continually utilize strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to details.
New Business Executive
Position Description:
PitchBook Data is a seeking a New Business Executive in Seattle to broaden its client base by developing relationships with key decision-makers in the Investment Banking, Private Equity and M&A deal making market and selling private equity subscription research services delivered via a robust web-based platform.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform direct sales calls and qualify key decision makers to develop new business opportunities.
  • Meet and exceed performance activity indicators (calls and meetings) designed to enable outperformance of monthly revenue quota.
  • Follow up on leads generated by Marketing and incoming leads.
  • Gain and maintain a deep understanding of PitchBook's target market.
  • Lead product demonstrations and trainings.
  • Provide client feedback to the Product Management team when necessary.
  • Effectively maintain up to date records of sales activities, pipeline management and forecasting (using Salesforce).
  • Ability to travel as required.
Requirements:
  • BS/BA or equivalent experience.
  • 2-4 Years of proven track record in business-to-business sales.
  • Good communication skills with high energy levels and assertiveness.
  • Proven talent for making effective cold calls to target firms.
  • Financial services and/or private equity experience a plus.
