PitchBook Announces the Addition of a Public Comparables Tool to its Private Equity Platform

NEW YORK (September 24, 2009) - PitchBook Data, a private equity-focused research firm, today announced the addition of a public comparables tool to its PitchBook Private Equity Platform. The tool seamlessly integrates 380 financial data fields such as EV/EBITDA, EV/Revenue and Price/Free Cash Flow for over 12,000 public companies into PitchBook's premier private equity database. Giving private equity professionals and advisors the ability to easily search, compare and benchmark private and public company data side by side.

Users are able to download their comp group's financials straight into excel for easy benchmarking and integration into models. Integrated Public and Private Company Data
The newly added public companies have been fully integrated into the PitchBook Platform, allowing users to utilize the Platform's powerful search capabilities to find a focused group of public and private comparables. Companies can be searched by industry, descriptions, geography, keywords, deal details and multiple financial metrics.
A Customizable Interface for Side-by-Side Comparisons
Users are able to build public company groups and customize the data fields and time periods they want displayed for easy side-by-side benchmarking and valuation analysis.
